Detective Inspector Mike Gladwin of Greater Manchester Police visited the Y13 A level Law class to discuss Police Powers on Monday 9th October. The group were delighted to spend the morning working through some real life scenarios of police arrests where they were able to apply their knowledge of current legislation to identify where arrest was necessary and appropriate next steps. They were also able to discuss case law, the impact of judicial decisions, alternatives to juries, as well as the role of the CPS and the IPCC.  Many thanks to D.I Gladwin
