One of our foreign language teachers and School Link Coordinator has just returned from giving presentations about her own experiences of e-twinning projects at the Biggest Education and Technology Conference in the world (BETT) at ExCel London Exhibition and Convention Centre. She was invited to attend along with other Ambassadors from across Europe. The European Commission, together with the Central and National Support Services for e-Twinning, mounted a stand at the BETT Trade Show .

Sandra worked on planning a lively four day programme based on interactive sessions where teachers could share their experiences as well as gather general information on eTwinnng. Community for School in Europe and e-twinning experiences led into teachers having the opportunity to recount their aspects of the project and show examples of good practice. The presentation programme also included a quiz and a partner-finding board where visitors left their contact details using a template to promote further networking.
Sandra Underwood said “BETT is the biggest education and technology conference of its kind in the world- over 70 countries represented. It’s been an amazing opportunity to talk about the success of of the LSA Technology & Performing Arts eTwinning projects whilst getting the chance to see what new technology is becoming available in education. I am thrilled to have been asked to present on one of our innovative and technological projects in which students were highly engaged which became a whole school project. Students from all Years were involved in scanning QR codes with their smart phones! Brilliant!”
