Lytham Sixth Form is delighted to announce an excellent set of GCE A Level results. This was the first year of the new, tougher linear exams in the majority of subject areas with students taking all of their exams at the end of the second year of study.
The overall pass rate was 100% with a huge 13.1% of grades being at the highest standard of A*. 31.8% of grades acheived were at A*-A and over half of grades (55.3%) were at A*-B.
All students will be moving on to university courses with the vast majority securing their first choice of institution. Those who have decided to end their education have all secured employment or apprenticeships thanks to the excellent support they have received at the college.
Whilst all students gained excellent results, of particular note are the following students
Mitch Aitchison achieved A*A*A in Maths, Further Maths and Physics and will be going on to study Mathematics and Physics
Jemima Bolton gained A*, A, B in Psychology, Geography and History and will be studying Geography at university
Bethany Cannon achieved A*, A, A, C in Extended Project, Art, Law and Psychology and will be studying for a degree in Fine Art
Anthony Ford received A, A, A in Maths, Further Maths and Religious Studies and will be going on to study Mathematics
Polly Goodson achieved A, A, D*D* in Psychology, Extended Project and Performing Arts who will be studying for a degree in Psychology
Cameron Hardie was rewarded with A*, A, A in History, Law and Religious Studies and will be studying for a degree in Law
Louisa Hartley gained A*, A, A in Biology, Chemistry and Maths and who will be studying Biomedical Sciences at university
Lucinda Heavyside was rewarded with A*, A, A in Geography, Art and Media and who will be going on to study Film and Photography
Kieran Howell achieved A*, A, B in Maths, Further Maths and Physics and who will be studying for a degree in Mathematics
Charlotte Kelly gained A*, B, B in Psychology, Biology and Chemistry and who will be studying for a degree in Anatomical Sciences
Mekah Liddell achieved A, A, D*D*, B in English, Extended Project, Performing Arts and Psychology and who will be going on to study English
