GCSE Exams Summer 2021 Autumn Resit Available

There will be an autumn series of exams for anyone wishing to improve on their Teacher Assessed Grade (TAG) awarded in the summer 2021 process. You must have received a TAG or have had a summer entry even if that was subsequently withdrawn.

Examinations will be offered in all GCSE subjects. The examination boards reserve the right to withdraw any subject for which no entries have been made by the relevant deadlines and not offer a late entry option.

What you need to do if you wish to resit your GCSE?

The entry deadline for GCSEs is Monday 4th October 2021. In order to meet this external exam board deadline, if you wish to sit an GCSE examination in the autumn series, please email examsoffice@lythamhigh.lancs.sch.uk by Friday 24th September 2021, clearly stating which subject(s) you wish to be entered for. You will receive confirmation that your entry has been processed.

The GCSE exams will be run in two sessions. English Language and Maths will be timetabled between Monday 1st and Tuesday 9th November 2021 and all other GCSE subjects will be scheduled between Monday 15th November and Friday 3rd December 2021. Ofqual expect students to sit these examinations at the Centre that gave them their Teacher Assessed Grade, so if you are moving elsewhere for Sixth Form, you need to bear that in mind.
