Extra Curricular Activities
Extra-curricular activities, which have supported personal and curricular development as well as providing a safe place out of school hours have resulted in a comprehensive timetable offering a dazzling array of activities. Consequently the school day for hundreds of students begins at 8.00 am with choice of breakfast in the cafeteria, use of library or sports practice before school starts.
Lunchtimes offer opportunities and after school more than forty activities including different sports and performing arts are scheduled.
A very popular innovation has been the creation of The Zone where students can just 'chill out', play traditional and electronic games, even snooker, and learn new crafts. Open every Tuesday until 3:10 pm and Friday until 5.00 pm the Zone is never short of visitors!
We perform all kinds of music, no auditions are needed so just come along! Groups rehearse once a week and perform concerts throughout the year. In Easter 2019 the school ensembles will go to Italy on tour and perform concerts in Venice and the surrounding area. Please see Mr Spacey for more details.
