I would like to congratulate all those Year 11 students who have achieved such excellent results this year. 97% of students achieved 5 or more passes at grade C or above and 63% achieved that level including English and Mathematics. Results in English, Mathematics and Science were well above national averages, results which continue the steady improvement year on year at the school and which have have been achieved when nationally there have been significant reductions in numbers achieving the highest grades. In the pursuit of increased rigour in the exam system the Government has made harder than ever for schools and students to get the rewards their hard work merits. All our students ought to be be proud of what they have achieved - they have had to work harder, produce work of a higher standard and display a broader range of skills than in previous years to get their results.
