Rhianon Lovelace O'Doherty, who studies physics and maths at the sixth form, competes in Powerlifting competitons in her spare time despite wanting to go onto a career in physics.
Yesterday she took part in the Northern British Qualifiers where she impressively won gold in her class, Best Novice Female Lifter trophy & Best Overall Female Lifter Trophy for the most impressive female lifts as well as setting for British Power lifting Union records. Not only that, she also qualified for The British Powerlifting Finals!
