Image of Technology Club Students Complete a Fantastic Year of Practical Projects

Students attending our Technology After School Club have enjoyed another fantastic year of designing, creating and developing a wide range of practical engineering and technology projects.

Meeting every Thursday after school, the club has provided students with the opportunity to develop valuable design and manufacturing skills while working with a variety of tools, materials and modern technologies.

Throughout the year, students have successfully completed a number of exciting projects, including a USB-powered Christmas decoration, a laser-cut phone stand, a programmable electronic dice housed in a custom laser-cut and engraved plywood box with a hinged lid, a handcrafted bird box and an LED display project.

The bird boxes, pictured here, are a brilliant example of the craftsmanship and attention to detail demonstrated by our students. Each project has allowed them to build confidence, solve problems and apply their learning in a practical setting while developing important STEM skills.

A huge thank you goes to our Technology Department for giving up their time to run the club and provide students with these fantastic enrichment opportunities throughout the year. We look forward to seeing what next year's Technology Club creates!
