It is my great privilege to welcome you to our school. As Headteacher, I feel immense pride in the achievements of our students, staff, and wider community. Our school is more than just a place of learning; it is a community built on our key values: aspiration, endeavour, integrity and respect. I want our young people to be proud of themselves, their school and their community, I also want them to be grateful for all that they receive.
This is a large school with a proud academic tradition and first-class teaching. We want our young people to excel academically and enjoy the wide array of clubs, trips, visits and extra-curricular activities that we offer. We are also proud of the inclusive and supportive environment that allows every student to flourish, discover their talents, and develop the confidence to take their place in the world.
As you explore our website, I hope you will gain a sense of the energy, pride, and ambition that defines LSA. We look forward to continuing to celebrate successes together and to building an even brighter future for all our young people. We want everyone to be proud to be LSA.
Mr. Corbett
Head Teacher
Lytham St Annes High School was established in 1955 and while a few things have changed since then, one thing that has stayed the same is our ability to always develop and succeed as "a learning community in pursuit of excellence" (our school mission statement). We are proud of our school. We are proud of our teachers, our support staff, our families, and most of all our students. We genuinely pursue excellence on a daily basis and expect everyone to live our values of aspiration, endeavour, integrity and respect. The last two years have seen a lot of amazing work around the school values. They have been at the heart of everything we do and we see our students living these every day in school. Our high standards will ensure that we keep a vibrant, fun and safe environment for everyone. We expect students to behave brilliantly, be kind and get involved in the many opportunities we offer. |

We take great pride in our induction of new students in the knowledge that a settled and happy student will flourish academically and socially We work closely with our feeder primary schools to exchange academic and pastoral information on the students which is used strategically to plan the curriculum and pastoral support. Students looking at enrolling at Lytham St Annes High School are given the opportunity to look around our school and find out all about the exciting subjects we offer at our Annual Open Evening in Jne.
Furthermore, all students take part in an exciting induction day, with many visiting our school for additional sporting, arts, and other events. We understand fully that the move from primary school to secondary school can seem like a massive jump. However, please be assured that as a school we are committed to ensuring that this move is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
However, if you have any questions or concerns then please feel free to contact us. Please be aware that there is no such thing as a silly question, so if anything is worrying you, please email us to put your mind at ease. Alternatively, visit our Transition page for more information. |

We believe that each one of our students is more than a collection of grades; they are unique individuals each with different talents, skills and abilities, some of which they haven’t even discovered yet. And as one of the largest schools in Lancashire, our school provides an excellent education and offers a wide range of curricular and extra-curricular activities. We even run several student groups and committees which are excellent opportunities for students to get involved with the topics that matter to them and help develop our school community and the wider community. There's plenty for parents to get involved with too such as our PTFA, Governors and school events. |
Reception will be open from 8am – 4pm Mon – Thurs and from 8am – 3.30pm Fridays.
