One of our former students, Callum Sharpe has come down from the University of Leeds with a First Class Honours, B.Sc, in Biochemistry.  On top of that he has been awarded the Frank Happold Prize in Biochemistry to recognise his academic achievement, commitment to his studies,  and his contribution to the life of the Biological Sciences Undergraduate School as well as  being the best student taking the final examinations.

Whilst at LSA he was a very popular student who studied Triple Science and Astronomy at GCSE level and Biology and Chemistry at A level.  His future plans include going off to Wolfson College at the university of Cambridge to study Veterinary Medicine as an affiliated student from October.

Callum Said "My passion and enthusiasm for science all started with the inspiration given by my teachers at LSA.  I really owe them everything for building the foundations of my education and allowing me to reach my full academic potential.  My advice to prospective students is that it is never too late to the reach the top.  My GCSE and A level grades were good, though not spectacular, and a lot of hard work and commitment has enabled me to reach where I wanted to go.

His former Biology teacher at LSA , Anne Cosh, said " We are very proud of him and his tremendous achievements.  He is an excellent role model for current students.  We wish him well."
