Image of Year 7 Students Explore the World of AI in Exciting Assembly

This week, Year 7 students at Lytham St Annes High School took part in a fascinating and forward-thinking assembly all about Artificial Intelligence, delivered in partnership with BAE Systems, the Royal Navy, and the Royal Air Force.

The session aimed to introduce students to the rapidly evolving world of AI, highlighting both its benefits and potential risks. Pupils learned how AI is already transforming industries, how it can be used safely, and how to spot misleading content such as deepfakes—a growing concern in the digital world.

In a truly interactive experience, students used AI tools to help write and produce a song, giving them hands-on insight into the creative possibilities that technology can offer.

One of the highlights of the assembly was a visit from an AI-powered robotic dog, who performed a series of tricks and amazed the students with its abilities. The session sparked plenty of conversation, curiosity, and enthusiasm about the future of technology.

A huge thank you to our guests from BAE Systems, the Royal Navy, and the Royal Air Force for delivering such an engaging and thought-provoking session.

At LSA, we’re proud to give our students opportunities to explore the technologies shaping their future.
