Grim Tales Challenge: 100 Words of Creativity

As part of this term’s enrichment opportunities, some of our students took on a special writing challenge: to create their very own Grim Tale in just 100 words.

The brief pushed their imaginations in new directions — exploring alternative endings to classic fairy tales, inventing anti-heroes, and crafting original stories with darker twists. The real test was condensing those big ideas into such a short format, which required focus, precision, and plenty of resilience.

Students worked on their stories both in school and in their own time at home, showing fantastic creativity and commitment. The results were gripping, thoughtful, and highly original.
