Year 9 Students Celebrate Success After Earning Food Safety Certificates

Our Year 9 students have taken an important step towards developing real-world life skills after successfully completing their Food Safety Certificates this week.

The qualification, delivered through their Food Technology lessons, teaches students essential knowledge about hygiene, safe food preparation, preventing contamination, and understanding how to store and handle food correctly. These are vital skills not only for achieving their GCSEs, but also for future part-time jobs, hospitality roles, and everyday life at home.

Teachers were extremely impressed with the maturity and effort shown throughout the course. Students demonstrated a strong understanding of the importance of food safety and worked hard to apply this knowledge in practical lessons.

A huge well done to all students involved. We’re proud to see our young people gaining valuable qualifications that set them up for success beyond the classroom.
