19 December 2025
We are saying a heartfelt goodbye to our much-loved lollipop lady, Bettina Magee, who is retiring from her role after an incredible 20 years of service.
Known affectionately to many as Bee, Bettina has been a familiar, friendly and reassuring presence on the corner of Albany Road and Worsley Road, standing out in all weathers to help keep our students safe on increasingly busy roads. Her positivity, patience and ability to remember so many children by name has made her a much-valued part of daily life for families over the years.
Bettina has crossed generations of LSA students, including children who have attended Lytham St Annes High School themselves. While she is retiring from her role with us, she will continue working at Clifton, and we wish her every success as she begins this next chapter.
On behalf of the whole school community, we would like to thank Bettina for her dedication, kindness and commitment over the past two decades. She will be greatly missed.
As this is our final news post of the term, we would also like to wish all our students, families and staff a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the new year.
