As we head into that rarest of UK weather events, a sunny bank holiday weekend, I would like to thank you all for your support throughout this half term. Our work continues on raising standards at the school and you have my assurance that all that we are doing is designed to ensure that all young people, from all backgrounds have the best chance to succeed in life. This starts with your support around attendance; attendance has improved on last year but requires more work to get it to where it needs to be if we are to realise our ambitions.
Next half term we will be further implementing our routines, ensuring that we start the next academic year well and that young people have an entirely predictable, safe and supportive environment in which to learn. This is the best way to ensure good attendance and to safeguard our young people, especially the most vulnerable in our community. We will end this half term with our traditional guard of honour for our year 11s, this is a crucial rite of passage and one that they have richly deserved. Have a lovely break with family and loved ones, I am proud to be LSA.
