Image of Amelia Celebrates Outstanding National and International Figure Skating Success

We are delighted to celebrate the incredible achievements of Year 10 student Amelia, who has enjoyed a remarkable 2025-2026 competitive season in Solo Ice Dance.

Throughout the season, Amelia demonstrated exceptional dedication, skill and determination, achieving success at both national and international level. She won all three British qualifying competitions, securing gold medals at two events in Sheffield and one event in Blackburn.

Amelia also represented herself with distinction on the international stage, competing in a series of International Skating Union (ISU) endorsed competitions across Europe and the United States. Her impressive results included:

  • 🥇 1st Place – Blackburn, UK
  • 🥉 3rd Place – Katowice, Poland
  • 🥈 2nd Place – Copenhagen, Denmark
  • 🥈 2nd Place – Hoorn, Netherlands
  • 🥇 1st Place – Reston, USA

Across these international competitions, Amelia brought home an outstanding medal haul of two gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal.

To round off an exceptional season, Amelia was also crowned Silver Medallist at the British Solo Ice Championships in the Advanced Novice category, cementing her place among the country's top young solo ice dancers.

Everyone at LSA is incredibly proud of Amelia's achievements. Balancing the demands of elite level sport alongside her studies requires tremendous commitment, and her success is a testament to her hard work, resilience and passion for figure skating.
