Our Year 11 students recently attended an informative assembly delivered by Blackpool and The Fylde College, focusing on how to access apprenticeship opportunities after school.
The session provided students with a clear understanding of what apprenticeships involve, how they differ from full-time college study, and the wide range of career pathways available across various industries. Representatives explained the application process, entry requirements and the importance of securing an employer alongside college training.
Students were also given practical advice on searching for vacancies, preparing strong applications and making a positive impression at interview. The assembly highlighted how apprenticeships allow young people to earn while they learn, gaining valuable qualifications and real-world experience at the same time.
It was a highly engaging and informative session, helping our Year 11 students feel more confident about the different routes available to them as they prepare for life beyond school.
A big thank you to Blackpool and The Fylde College for supporting our students and providing such valuable guidance.
